News Update
Monday, 26 May 2008

I received an e-mail from a "Fan" basically chewing me out for not keeping up Paul’s website for the fans that come to support him. This e-mail was from someone with an e-mail that I cannot respond to. So I decided to respond on here, that way everyone who may be frustrated with me can read what I have to say. First and foremost, I know once again I have been terrible about doing results. Unfortunately, Paul and I were in a car accident on March 24, and since then I do not sit for long periods at my computer because it hurts me to do so. Also, I work fulltime, and when Paul is gone I raise our children all by myself. And of course they are my priority. We have awesome children who are straight A students and are very respectful kids, so I must be doing something right!

A Loss In the McMahan Family
Sunday, 30 December 2007

Today (12/29/2007) we lost a huge part of our hearts. Paul's Grandpa "Penny" passed away. It was Grandpa who was the beginning of the racing legacy in the McMahan family. Paul raced 1/4 midgets for Grandpa starting at the age of 5.
"We knew that someday we would have to face this, but you always hope that "someday" never comes in this case". " Unfortunatley it came today, and it is real hard to deal with."
We are a strong family and we will get through this with tears, and memories. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers at this extremly hard time. Our love and thoughts go out to Grandma Penny, Carol, (Paul's mom), Aunt Janice, Aunt Linda, Uncle Jim, and all of our family in California.
This picture is of our son Brayden and Grandpa Penny at the 1/4 midget track in California. Grandpa was sharing some of his knowledge of the sport with Brayden. This is something that Brayden still cherishes to this day.

Paul McMahan will be piloting the #0 Car owned by famed sprint car driver Rick Ferkel.
Monday, 03 December 2007

Paul McMahan and Rick Ferkel have joined forces to compete for the All Star Championship for the 2008 season. “Rick called me on Thursday to ask if I would be interested in driving his # 0 car for the All Star points chase for 2008. I have spoken with many different owners and crew chiefs about driving for them next season and had yet to find exactly what I was looking for, until Rick called.  Rick wants to race and have fun, while also giving me the equipment I need to be competitive. After coming off of the last race at Charlotte with all the bad luck I had, I am more than ready to race and have fun and make a living while doing it. Rick and I have always gotten along real well, and my wife and I are looking forward to a wonderful racing relationship with Rick and Cathy.

The #0 Sprint car is owned by Sprint Car Hall of Famer, Rick Ferkel, sponsored by:
Shorty's Variety Recycling out of Findlay, OH.
Griff's Engines out of Sandusky, OH.
Zeis Development LTD.  out of Tiffin, OH.
